TickTod Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 11, 2026

TickTod is designed for parents and caregivers. Core family information stays on your device; some optional or service-related information is handled by the providers described below.

Who this policy covers

This policy covers the TickTod iPhone and iPad app, this website, and messages sent to us for support. TickTod is operated by Jorge Avila (“TickTod,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). If you have a privacy question or request, email support@ticktod.app.

Family information stored on your device

TickTod does not require an account for core use. Profiles, names or nicknames, age ranges, avatars or profile photos, timer presets, rewards, timer sessions and history, and settings are stored on the device where you use the app. We do not operate a TickTod cloud account for that core family information.

Deleting local content in the app, deleting the app, or resetting a device can remove that information. Device backups you control, including iCloud backups, may retain copies according to Apple’s backup settings and policies.

Analytics and diagnostic information

TickTod uses PostHog for product analytics and error diagnostics. This can include product-interaction events, app and operating-system context, device characteristics, crash or error details, and technical identifiers used to understand reliability and improve the app. TickTod does not use this information for targeted advertising or to track a child across unrelated apps or websites.

Analytics and diagnostic sharing is enabled by default and can be turned off at any time in TickTod’s Privacy settings. Turning it off affects future optional analytics and diagnostics; it does not remove information already processed by a provider. PostHog’s handling and retention of information are governed by its privacy documentation.

Purchases and entitlement management

Apple processes App Store purchases, subscriptions, refunds, and payment information. TickTod uses RevenueCat to help determine whether an in-app purchase entitlement is active. RevenueCat may receive purchase and entitlement information and technical identifiers needed for that purpose. TickTod does not receive your full payment-card information.

Permissions and photos

Camera and photo-library access are optional and are used only when a parent chooses a custom profile photo. Profile photos remain on the device unless you choose to include one in a support request or another service you control copies it through device backup. Notifications are used for local timer alerts and optional reminders. Face ID or Touch ID may be used to unlock protected parent settings; TickTod does not receive biometric templates or biometric data from Apple.

Support requests

If you email support, we receive the information in your message and any attachments you choose to send. The app may offer to include technical context such as app version, device model, operating-system version, and a RevenueCat anonymous identifier so we can investigate a purchase or technical issue. Please do not send a child’s full name, photo, or other sensitive information unless it is necessary for your request. We keep support correspondence only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, troubleshoot, and meet legal obligations.

Website information

When you visit ticktod.app, our hosting provider Vercel processes standard request, performance, and device information to deliver and secure the website. We use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to understand aggregate website traffic and performance. Those services are governed by Vercel’s privacy policy. The website does not provide child account registration or a child community area.

How we share information

We share information only as described above: with Apple for App Store services, PostHog for optional analytics and diagnostics, RevenueCat for purchase-entitlement management, Vercel for website hosting and measurement, and providers that help us respond to support requests. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, TickTod, or others. We do not sell personal information or provide it to advertising networks for targeted advertising.

Children and parent controls

TickTod is configured and managed by parents, guardians, and caregivers. Children may use the app under an adult’s direction, but TickTod does not offer child account registration. Family profile information is intended to stay local to the device. A parent or legal guardian can remove local profiles, photos, history, presets, and other app data in the app or by deleting the app.

For a request about information held by a provider or in support correspondence, email support@ticktod.app from the adult contact connected to the request. We may ask for information needed to verify the requester before acting. If TickTod’s data practices change to involve online collection of a child’s personal information, we will update this policy and provide any notice or consent required by applicable law before that collection begins.

Security and retention

We use reasonable measures designed to protect the services we control, but no app, website, device, or transmission is completely secure. Information stored locally remains on your device until you remove it, subject to device backups you control. Information handled by third-party providers is retained under their applicable policies and service arrangements.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when TickTod or applicable requirements change. We will post the updated policy and change the “Last updated” date. When a change materially affects how we handle information, we will provide additional notice when required by law.
